The selection of steel and material grades depend on the sheet thickness and strength of the material to be machined.
The greater the sheet thickness and strength of the material to be cut, the higher the loads on the die.

Blocks for eroding with starting hole
Our digital catalogues offer the possibility to introduce starting holes in your blocks for eroding. The freely configurable starting holes with ∅ 1 mm enable maximum flexibility when defining the EDM contours. Except for the material quality CF-H40S+ (carbide) we offer all blocks for eroding, whether heat treated for stress relief or hardened, with customisable starting hole. This spares you the often expensive introduction of the starting holes for wire EDM.
Customised thicknesses
Our NE blocks for eroding are available in customised material thicknesses. If you can’t find the right thickness for your needs in our catalogues, just customise it yourself directly in the digital catalogue . By clicking on the block for eroding in the shopping cart, a pop-up window opens. In this window it is possible to enter a customised thickness, except for carbide blocks for eroding. You can even add comments to the delivery note or shipping labels.
